Ryan Longfield
The former LinkedIn sales leader who spent years as Gong's chief revenue officer now runs the entire go-to-market organization at enterprise voice-AI company PolyAI.
President of Go-to-Market at PolyAI
On January 14, 2026, PolyAI announced Ryan Longfield as its President of Go-to-Market, a newly created role. He oversees the company's end-to-end go-to-market organization, covering sales, marketing, revenue operations, customer success, partnerships and strategic alliances. The announcement describes him as having more than two decades of commercial and operational leadership at high-growth software companies, and CEO and co-founder Nikola Mrksic said the hire reflects enterprises focusing on which vendors they can trust to run agentic AI in production.[1][2]
What PolyAI does
PolyAI describes itself as an enterprise agentic AI company focused on customer experience, best known for voice agents that handle customer calls. On December 15, 2025 it announced an $86 million Series D co-led by Georgian, Hedosophia and Khosla Ventures, with participation from NVentures (NVIDIA's venture arm), British Business Bank, Citi Ventures, Squarepoint Ventures, Sands Capital, Zendesk Ventures and Point72 Ventures. The round took total funding above $200 million and will fund development of its Agent Studio platform.[4]
PolyAI reports more than 100 enterprise customers across financial services, healthcare, hospitality, insurance, energy and retail, over 2,000 live deployments, 45 languages and more than 25 countries. Named customers include Marriott, Caesars Entertainment, PG&E, UniCredit and Foot Locker. The company cites a Forrester Total Economic Impact study showing 391 percent return on investment and average savings of $10.3 million. These are company figures, and in some of its largest deployments it says its agents do the work of more than 1,000 full-time employees.[4][1]
A decade at LinkedIn
Before Gong, Longfield spent about ten years in sales leadership at LinkedIn. In his last role there he led the North American business of LinkedIn Talent Solutions, which Gong's announcement called the largest division in the company, managing a team of 250 across new business acquisition, small and medium-sized business growth and retention. The PolyAI announcement says his LinkedIn tenure spanned the company's growth through its IPO and its acquisition by Microsoft.[3][1]
Gong chief revenue officer
Gong named Longfield its Chief Revenue Officer on August 1, 2018. At the time the company, which sells conversation-intelligence software that analyzes what top performers say and do differently, counted LinkedIn, GE and ZipRecruiter as customers, and CEO Amit Bendov described its growth as astonishing. PolyAI's 2026 announcement credits Longfield with helping scale Gong's recurring revenue into the hundreds of millions of dollars.[3][1]
He moved from Gong to Shopify and then from Shopify to PolyAI.[1][2]
Shopify and education
An Equilar executive biography and the PolyAI announcement both identify his most recent role before PolyAI as Global Head of Commercial Operations at Shopify. Equilar also lists a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. Equilar notes that its full work history is behind a sign-up, so the list of past roles may be incomplete.[2][1]
Why he matters
Longfield's career follows the path of modern B2B software sales: building a large sales organization at LinkedIn, a revenue team from early scale at Gong, and operating discipline at Shopify. His move to PolyAI puts that experience behind a company selling agentic voice AI into large enterprises, where proof of return on investment and trust in production are the main sales hurdles.[1][3][4]
