Sangram Vajre
The Terminus co-founder who helped popularize account-based marketing now runs GTM Partners, a data-driven analyst firm for go-to-market leaders.
Analyst, author and go-to-market operator
Sangram Vajre is co-founder and chief executive officer of GTM Partners, which describes itself as a data-driven go-to-market analyst firm that helps B2B companies grow efficiently. HubSpot lists him under that title as a speaker at its 2026 UNBOUND conference, and G2's author page lists him the same way. He is the author of three books on go-to-market strategy, including the Wall Street Journal bestseller MOVE: The 4-Question Go-To-Market Framework.[1][2]
Pardot
Vajre ran marketing at Pardot, the marketing automation company that was acquired by ExactTarget, which was in turn acquired by Salesforce. His speaker biography says he has been part of building two companies to more than $100 million in revenue.[1][2]
Terminus and account-based marketing
He co-founded Terminus, the account-based marketing platform, which G2 says made Deloitte's list of fastest-growing companies after reaching $15 million in revenue within three years. HubSpot describes Terminus as a category-defining ABM platform. On November 12, 2024 Terminus merged into DemandScience, with the combined company operating under the DemandScience brand. The announcement described Terminus as having more than 1,000 customers, including Gainsight, Roche and Dow Jones, and said Terminus CEO Rich Howarth would become chief technology officer of the combined company.[2][1][6]
Founding GTM Partners
GTM Partners launched on August 30, 2022. Vajre was named co-founder and CEO, with Bryan Brown, Lindsay Cordell and Judd Borakove as the other founders. The launch described a data-driven analyst firm with a mission to make go-to-market simple, and quoted Vajre arguing that traditional funnels fail beyond top-of-funnel activity and that many companies have a go-to-market problem rather than a single-department problem.[4]
A November 2023 post from Vajre and Brown said the founders met while writing their first book and set up the firm to serve the midmarket as an analyst and advisory firm. It listed milestones from the first two years: more than 300 companies trained on the GTM Operating System, over 1,800 analyst hours in sessions, 12 roadshows, 24 frameworks, more than 400 free research pieces, 13 ROI studies and a twice-yearly GTM Benchmark report.[5]
The GTM Operating System
GTM Partners' site presents the GTM Operating System as an eight-pillar framework linking strategic planning to execution for CEOs and executive teams: Total Relevant Market, Market Investment Map, Brand and Demand, Pipeline Velocity, Customer Time to Value, Customer Expansion, Revenue Operations, and Leadership and Management. It reports 160-plus certified GTM OS partners, 75,000-plus leaders trained and 2,000-plus GTM teams assessed, and offers executive advisory, speaking, fractional implementors and a 90-day planning cadence. These figures are the firm's own.[3]
GTMonday and GTMU
Vajre created GTMonday, a weekly briefing that his speaker biography says has more than 175,000 subscribers, and founded GTMU, a learning platform for go-to-market professionals. The November 2023 post says 48 issues of GTMonday had been published by then, written by the founders themselves before a team took over, and its Substack carries a banner stating that GTMonday is now Run on GTM OS, so the newsletter appears to have been rebranded.[1][5]
Speaking and public presence
Vajre is a regular keynote speaker; HubSpot's UNBOUND 2026 lineup is one example. GTM Partners offers speaking and keynotes as a service, and the firm's site quotes Geoffrey Moore, author of Crossing the Chasm, among its endorsements.[1][3]
Why he matters
Vajre's career runs through the evolution of B2B marketing, from marketing automation at Pardot to the account-based approach Terminus built into a category and now to cross-functional frameworks for CEOs. His work gives revenue leaders shared vocabulary and benchmarks for aligning marketing, sales and customer success, which is the problem GTM Partners says it was formed to solve.[2][3][4]
On The Executive List
Sangram Vajre is ranked No. 10 on The Executive List (October 2026) in the Chief Marketing Officers discipline. He is listed under GTM Partners and Terminus, the two companies that define his career. The ranking reflects The Executive Review's own editorial Trending Score; it is not an outside award, and placement on the list is never sold. View the October 2026 edition.
