Current role at Intapp

David H. Morton Jr., known as Dave Morton, is Chief Financial Officer of Intapp. Intapp announced the appointment on July 13, 2023, effective August 7, 2023, succeeding Steve Robertson, who planned to retire in 2024 and stay on as a non-executive senior advisor. The company's profile lists more than 20 years in the technology industry with global leadership roles.[1][2]

Intapp, listed on Nasdaq as INTA, describes itself as a leading provider of cloud software for professional and financial services. At the time of his hire it said its products served more than 2,250 firms, including private capital, investment banking, legal, accounting and consulting firms.[2]

Recent results

On August 4, 2026 Intapp reported results for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026: total revenue of $577.8 million, up 15 percent year over year; total annual recurring revenue of $590.5 million, up 22 percent; and cloud ARR of $495.7 million, up 29 percent and 84 percent of the total. The release is a company-level report, and the figures are not attributed to his individual decisions.[3]

DigiCert

Immediately before Intapp, Morton was CFO of DigiCert, a cybersecurity company, from November 2021 to August 2023.[1][2]

Anaplan and its public listing

Morton was CFO of Anaplan from September 2018 to July 2021. Intapp's announcement says he helped lead Anaplan's 2018 public listing. Anaplan filed to go public within days of his arrival, and the filing described a planning software business whose revenue rose from $71.5 million in fiscal 2016 to $168.3 million in fiscal 2018, with a newly assembled senior team. Customers named in the coverage included Adobe, Dish, Sonos and United Airlines.[1][2][4]

Tesla

In August 2018 he joined Tesla as chief accounting officer and resigned on September 4, 2018, after about a month in the job, to take the Anaplan position. The stint was short, but it is part of his published record.[1][4]

Seagate

Intapp's announcement lists an earlier role as CFO of Seagate Technology, the data storage company.[2]

Why he matters

Morton has been the finance chief through an IPO and at public software and hardware companies, which is the profile Intapp cited when it hired him. For a software business that has been shifting customers from on-premise to cloud, the fiscal 2026 mix of 84 percent cloud ARR shows how far that shift has progressed during his tenure, though the results belong to the company as a whole.[2][3]
