Current role and company

Jeb Blount is founder and chief executive of Sales Gravy, a sales training and consulting organization. Sales Gravy's about page says the company began in 2006, after Blount saw a gap in how customer-facing professionals were trained, with the goal of raising standards in the sales profession. Its leadership team includes Carrie Martinez as president and COO and Keith Lubner as chief strategy officer.[1]

The company reports delivering training in more than 37 countries, serving more than a million companies, teams and professionals, and offering over 2,000 hours of e-learning used by more than 50,000 learners. Its services include custom sales training, a learning platform called Sales Gravy University, coaching, sales kickoffs and keynotes, consulting and fractional sales leadership. These are company-stated figures.[1]

Books

Blount's Sales Gravy bio describes him as the bestselling author of 18 books, a figure Sales Gravy repeats alongside a claim of 1.5 million copies sold; third-party speaker pages list fewer titles, reflecting earlier counts. The titles named on his bio include Fanatical Prospecting, Sales EQ, Objections, INKED and The LinkedIn Edge, and the speaker bureau profile adds People Follow You, Virtual Selling, Selling in a Crisis and Selling the Price Increase.[2][1][4]

Fanatical Prospecting was published in 2015, with a central argument that salespeople must keep their pipelines filled using phone, email, text, social selling and in-person prospecting. Sales EQ followed in July 2017, applying emotional intelligence to complex sales. The company says his books form the foundation of its training.[1][2]

Podcast, speaking and training

A speaker bureau profile describes him as a sales acceleration specialist who hosts a sales podcast it calls the most downloaded in the world, a claim that comes from that listing. He keynotes events and advises executives on how emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills affect customer-facing roles.[4]

His own bio lists his work areas as talent optimization, sales training, leadership and coaching, and organizational design, and quotes him referring to forty years in sales.[2]

OutBound conference

Blount announced in October 2026 that OutBound 2026, the sales conference run under his brand, will take place from November 9 to 12 at Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas. The theme is practical strategies for performance gaps and resistance from buyers, with his stated goals being to help attendees get past prospect pushback and raise individual performance.[3]

Approach

Across the books and training, the consistent idea is that prospecting is a daily discipline, not an activity people turn to when the pipeline runs dry. Sales Gravy lists a custom training offering called P.A.C.E., and the Sales EQ book adds an emphasis on emotional intelligence in the selling conversation itself.[1][2]

Why he matters

Blount has become one of the most visible voices in sales training by pairing a memorable thesis with a company, a conference and a media operation to deliver it. For sales leaders, Fanatical Prospecting remains a common reference for pipeline discipline, and Sales Gravy is one of the commercial vehicles through which that discipline is taught.[1][2][4]
