Top 100 Franchise Owners
The people who own the brands, and the operators who own the restaurants, clubs and storefronts behind them.
Franchising runs on owners. This list ranks the hundred who matter most in the United States right now: the founders and controlling owners of major franchise systems, and the multi-unit operators who run hundreds, sometimes thousands, of franchised locations. Nos. 1 to 79 are the established names. Nos. 80 to 100 are reserved for the up-and-comers: founders of smaller, fast-growing franchise brands who are building the next generation of systems.

Scale, growth and reputation — never pay-to-rank
Nos. 1–79 are ordered editorially on scale (units and, where published, system or company sales), growth (recent openings, acquisitions and development deals) and reputation (standing in the franchise community and track record over time). The Up & Coming 21 are ranked on growth and trajectory rather than absolute size.
Every person on the list is real and currently identified with the company shown. Figures come from published sources such as FRANdata's Mega 99, the Franchise Times Restaurant 200 and Top 400, the QSR 50, company filings and press releases; each key stat links to its source, and where no reliable figure is public we show none rather than estimate one. Company-reported figures are labeled where we could not confirm them independently.
Placement is editorial and independent. The Executive Review does not accept payment for inclusion or ranking, and those listed are not asked to review their entries. Spot an error? Tell us and we will correct it. Read our methodology →
